So, I have been seeing and reading a lot more about women riders on the road this year, more than any other year I can remember…and it’s been a few. And I think that is great!
I have also seen many more rides being sponsored by woman clubs and groups as well. Which is a really great thing. Guys we should embrace this movement and find ways to grow our clan. Maybe we can get rid of the cars once and for all!
Since this was a quickie post, I thought I’d attach something I just found online for the ladies!
It’s a song called Harley Girl - not a classic, but definitely fitting. enjoy and ride safe!

Hey All…
So my Harley needs service. $$$ Big money if brought to the local dealer, which I value and praise them for, however, I don’t have the dough! So now what?
Well, I happened to be talking to my buddy about it and he told me about a friend of his name Dennis.
Dennis started Fix My Hog for the sole purpose of helping guys like me in need of some Harley help. He teamed up with another buddy of his named Bob - Serious Harley Mechanic, who is the voice and the brawn in the videos.
So, let’s skip to the chase. I watched the “Oil and Transmission Fluid Service” and I found it perfect in every way. The shop was spotless, the bike was clean and easily viewable, the pace and timing where perfectly simple to follow and the audio was clear. Video Quality - Awesome, very crisp.
Bottom line the FixMyHog video gets 5 stars and I highly recommend it to any avid rider trying to save money while taking care of their precious baby.
Great Job Dennis.
See all available FixMyHog video’s and read about Dennis and his other offerings here.

So in the begining the article focuses on a woman getting married for the third time…and love riding a Harley. But then the article goes on to talk about how motorycle riders are on the rise…maybe due to high gas prices….but, let’s be realistic…it’s probably just the excuse to actually finally get that bike!

I have been trying to post positive stories about Harley Riders on this blog, because all I ever read about is how this “Harley rider did that” and that “Harley rider did this” and it really bringing me down. I’ve found a few article on the great caring that Harley riders have for many great causes, which is a start….but this is just the kind of story I like…
A Harley Riding Pastor(Father Mike Butler) on Saturday May 10th in Colorado is going to say a prayer for all bikers to open this years riding season.
Just the right flavor to get you invigorated for another safe riding season!

This article is a great testament to what companies should be doing to it’s loyal patrons. This is why so many of us ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles and sport the equipment that Harley Davidsons aftermarket provides. They truly appreciate our needs, wants and dream.
Let’s face it, all of us strive to be free of the daily grind or to just flat out explore the outer confines of the world without being boxed in a car. This illustrates what you and I bought into by purchasing a Harley. See the full article by Eric Decker here: http://www.biztimes.com/news/2008/4/4/harley-celebrates-the-customers-brand

Now this is something to talk about. This is what happens in Sci-Fi movies, when a Harley V-Rod vs. Sports Car go through one of those cool vortex spinny things! We have 2 wheels on the front and all action in the rear. Damn this thing is HOT

So, I’ve been looking for post worthy Harley news online and I came across an article on Forbes…. titled “Pimp Your PC, High-end gamers may be the most sophisticated users out there. Just look under the hood. By Brian Caulfield”
I love computers, and tend to be a gamer trapped in an adult with too little time to devote to it. But when I was a kid, man could I play. We would have tournaments and, unlike today, tie in outside races with bikes, running, ball distance throwing and then race back inside to game again. In the end we would tally our points to see who was best. And sure I won a couple of times, but I didn’t always win, which is what made you want to do it again.
So, I guess I agree with them. These Gamers are serious, Hell!, they drive the industry and raise the bar for our business computers as well. Why not write an article thanking them. So, I would like to take this opportunity to say:
Thanks! Gamers of the world!
You make everything groovy!

Wow, the Original Building…I guess you can still go see it…but, heck, I didn’t even know that this building was being used by Harley Davidson until after I read that they sold it.
I came across this article and felt really good, once again about the bike I ride. Harley Davidson sold the 10,000 sq. ft. building to a Adult Health Care Center for disabled adults. Read the rest of the article here: http://www.bakersfield.com/137/story/285657.html

Hey Harley Road King Classic riders…The other day while being your everyday desk jockey and thinking about the open road, I thought I’d do a special write up on my bike. So I said where should I start. It’s a classic…and I thought I’d look for news on the term “Classic” and to my surprise this article pops up.

I guess I wasn’t the only one thinking about bikes! Strange huh. A great article on a great Hog.

This is a great seasonal post. People doing what they can for each other. Here a step Dad helps raise money and toys for Penn State Children’s Hospital in Hershey. This was the York County Harley-Davidson Owners Association’s 11th annual toy run and they really put up some numbers to be proud of.

Wow, how cool does this sound. Patrick Oldfield, worked with a construction company and traveled to the Outback to help them on a project. While there, he founded Uluru Motorcycle Tours. Talk about living a dream. This guy has built a business off of riding. God I need to get on the ball…well, actually on the road.
Check out the article…it get’s ya riled up for your next ride.

Wow, talk about a new look for Harley Davidson. First they come up with the V-rod, which by today’s motorcycle standards is definitely revolutionary, Now they come out with the Rocker and Rocker C!
Simply cool. I thought I couldn’t be happier with my Road King Classic and dream of owning the 07 Street Glide or the Fat Bob!…which were both great additions for the avid BAD ASS. But now, to add this really stylized chopper to the mix, what is a man supposed to do. 3 Cheers to the Harley Design Team for these 3 beauty’s.
Standing out not only with pure braun, but also with sleekness and grace… SWEET.

So, I’m a little biased but thought I’d put together a few things that you should consider when buying a used Harley, or any bike for that matter.
- Decide on the Style and Engine you are looking for. FatBoy - Evolution engine, Softail - Shovel Head. This will narrow your search and make life easier considering how many Harley’s (motorcycles) are out there.
- Make sure you have the money or loan ready. Don’t look for a bike without having your finances in order. It’s a waste of time for everyone. Tip: Get a few different loan options, don’t finance through a dealer unless you have too…it’s usually a high interest rate.
- Look at the fine print on really cheap looking motorcycles. Usually, there is a reason for low pricing. Dents, dings, not running, laid down or it’s been in an accident. Also, make sure it can be titled in your state, if it has been salvaged.
- Check multiple websites, newspapers and or sales publications. Examples: www.HarleysForSale.biz, New York Times and/or the Bargain News. Not everyone likes to use all of them so you never know where you may find a great Harley(bike).
- Talk with the seller, don’t be afraid to ask some basic questions or complex questions. Examples:How have you maintained your bike? Harley Serviced or did you service it? Is it paid off? Why are you selling it? Are you the original owner? Has it been laid down?
- Figure out how your going to pick up your bike. Don’t forget, there is no way to predict the weather. So have a few plans or a trailer. Make sure you have a ride from the local airport or how much a cab might cost.
- Remember, you will have to pay taxes and register your bike, so don’t spend all your money on the bike. Depending on your state, you will have to pay taxes on the value of the bike, not how much you bought it for. Which sometimes can work out to be more.
- Lastly, please ride safe. If you have not ridden in a while please take a refresher course in your state or at least ride in group a few times before venturing out on your own. Remember most drivers of cars are not looking for motorcycles when they are driving. They are looking for cars.
Thanks,
~ Hogmaster

Hey All, Hogmaster here. I have really been itching to put together a quick list for safe riding due to all the accidents I’ve seen on the nightly news. Our wives, mothers, daughters, sons will feel much better about us going on rides if we saw less accidents on the daily news. Especially when so many accidents can be avoided by following some very simple steps.
- Be Patient
- Be Defensive
- Pretend Nobody sees you! - my personal favorite
- Obey Traffic Laws
- Use your hand signals
- Use your head - You don’t want to lose it!

This is the first installment of Almighty Hog Motorcycle Rides. I havn’t had time to build the version I wanted so I thought I’d get it rolling with a blog. Tell me what you want for the next installment while building a base user group.

This website is set up to promote motorcycle rides. Promote rides, talk about going on a ride and maybe get some people to join your ride. I will build in features to help you do this. But for now, all you need to do is join up, make a ride post and see if anyone joins up.
An ideal Ride would have information about : Where you are going, How many days, How many people you want to join you on your trip, and any other details that you think would help in getting people to sign up for you motorcycle ride. Examples: Cities you’ll be stopping in, how much $ for each person, how many miles the trip is, etc…
